Fashion + religion at the Dolce and Gabbana F/W 2014 show

By Jelena Ardalic

I have always been a lover of all things exquisite, so it was inevitable for me to completely fall in love with the Dolce&Gabbana F/W 2014 show.

Each of the pieces of the collection, inspired by Sicily’s Cathedral of Monreale, have a regal and religious feel. With meticulously crafted gold headpieces and jewelry, and the clothes depicting the Byzantine and Venetian mosaics of Monreale, the collection takes fashion to the level it should be – into pure art.

We have seen fashion and religion merge together before at the Givenchy S/S 2013 collection, yet this time with the Dolce&Gabbana F/W 2014 collection; Byzantine inspired looks are set to become a key trend this winter.
