Recipe: Fruit and Veggie Smoothie

Living that fast lifestyle where breakfast is hard to come by and eating on the go becomes a daily ritual? Try a smoothie. Smoothies are a great option when time is just isn't on your side!  You can try different combinations of fruits and veggies, mixing it with different types of milks or coconut water for hydration.



This is my personal favourite, because you can't really taste the greens, as the berries and cinnamon give it a nice punch.


bunch of kale, chopped and de-stemmed

bunch of spinach leaves

1/2 cup of frozen berries (strawberries, berries & blackcurrents)

1 banana

1 T of chia seeds

1/2 cup rice or almond milk

1 T oats

dust of cinnamon powder

Blend all ingredients together in a blender and enjoy!

You can go crazy with other fruits and veggies and if you're not a fan of milk, coconut water can be quite refreshing.
